Pre-Instrumental Lessons (3 - 8 year olds)
Pre-Instrumental Lessons are designed to introduce our youngest students to music. There are three stages and during each our little stars discover many different instruments. Each lesson is packed with fun and excitement as children discover music through hands on experience & a range of fun and interactive games.
Term 1 Beginners Stage 1
- Learn to read and clap rhythm patterns with notation
- Learn Songs and sing together in groups.
- Musical Games
- Introduction to Keyboard, Guitar and Voice
- Duration 9 Weeks
Term 1 Intermediate Stage 2
- The keyboard becomes the main instrument of focus, giving children the delight of playing a solo instrument and playing as a group.
- A theory book is introduced at this level and children learn the lines and spaces in music, note names, time values, clefs and music dynamics.
- Learn songs and sing together in both rounds and harmony.
- Musical Games
- Introduction to Drums, Piano and Recorder
- Duration 9 Weeks
Advanced Stage 3
- The piano is introduced along with the keyboard which moves to a more advanced stage and children prepare simple solo pieces.
- Those who want to may choose to include 15 minute individual instrumental tuition weekly at a discount save €30.00. Students who take the extra tuition can prepare for the Royal Irish Academy of Music elementary piano grade if they wish.
- Next level of theory is introduced along with theory book.
- Learn songs and sing together in both rounds and harmony.
- Introduction to Electric Guitar, Violin and Electric Violin.
